Two final exams down...one to go!! Anthropology at 9am tomorrow morning. I swear I'm panting from sheer exhaustion.

When I turned in my 20th C. Europe final exam today, I received my research paper back. I got an A!!!!! My first big University research paper did well!! Whew!

Can't slow down now! 16 hours to go until it's over.

It finally happened. My hair crimper, that I use so rarely now, has died. I went to take it out to do my hair for tonight, and she was quite broken.

Goodbye old hair crimper!!

By the way, there was something funny I meant to share a few weeks ago, but promptly forgot! I was checking out parasols, as usual, and saw something a bit off...



The parasol is quite a bargain, but the shipping is a little out of my price range!!

I want to start my Victorian bathing suit (VBS), but #1, I have a paper due tomorrow, and #2 I have to finish my striped dress and hat first!

I just had to get that out of my system. Now I can go back to writing about post modern literature and not be so sour.

Can anyone tell me how to get my text to appear next to my photo in my research paper? For an example of what I mean, see THIS WEBSITE LAYOUT. See how the text continues next to the image under the heading "Women at War and Work"? How do I do that using Word?? At the moment, it forces the text to the very bottom of the image I have inserted.

Anyway, several weeks ago, kambriel and Curse came up for a visit and we had a rather odd photo shoot involving boxing gloves that happened to be sitting around (we were, after all, at a South Philly boxing gym!~don't ask!)

I've done a lot of note taking and organizing today. I think I have more information than I thought. Certainly the books contain a lot of the same information and my notes have some overlap, but in the end, I do have something to say!! I even have a better handle on what, exactly, was going on with manufacture in the 20's and 30's! Whoo hoo!

Glad to feel more optimistic about the paper. I only hope that when I get it all typed out properly, it comes out to be long enough. I figure each section, WWI, the Inter War Years, and WWII has to be 3.5 pages long each. I think the hardest part to do that with will be WWI. However, there WAS less going on then with fashion and the war, so maybe that means that the section on the Inter War years will be 4.5 pages, making a shorter WWI section OK.

After all this work, I really wish there was a chilled glass of pinot grigio in front of me. Unfortunately, we don't have any and I don't care about it enough to go out to a bar to have one.

I will apparently do anything to distract myself from my research paper...
